Great TV, February 6, 2011 This review is from: LG 47LD500 47LD500 47 1080p 120HZ LCD TV (Electronics) I just bought this TV yesterday, so my review is a bit premature. First off, I had read quite a bit before shopping. I wasn't sure whether we wanted LCD or plasma before we went to the store. I did not see any issues with the LCD TVs compared to the plasmas. The viewing angle of the LCD seemed fine, with no noticeable degradation of quality at any reasonable viewing angle. The blacks looked good and not washed-out as some report compared to the plasma. The LCD picture quality compared to the plasma in the brightly lit room really was amazing. The LCD was much better. Since our living room has a lot of windows, this is important.
The matte finish on the screen was a big selling point for us, since our room is well lit. I'm especially distracted by the reflections of room lights on the screen on our old TV.
The TV was very easy to setup, especially compared - weight-wise - to the old tube TV it replaced. With 3 HDMI inputs, one component, one VGA, and one... Read more

so far so good, January 19, 2011 By This review is from: LG 47LD500 47LD500 47 1080p 120HZ LCD TV (Electronics) I got this TV at $650 free delivery and no tax. The picture is so clear. I put it in home office to connect my pc to watch internet video, fun. The only weak part is speaker, sound system just okay but not great. In this price I have no complaint, 4 stars! Also bought a LG BD530 blu ray player with Amazon. It works great! One remote control both, good.
The TV had been unboxed before., June 8, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: LG 47LD500 47LD500 47 1080p 120HZ LCD TV (Electronics) This TV was without a remote and LCD screen was cracked in the center when we opened it to install for the customer. We are returning today.
